Grandma's Labor Camp

Reinventing a great idea and bringing it home.

Why not have the grandkiddies earn their keep? They are young and strong while Grandma's feeling old and tired.

Forget those pesky child labor laws. Let's have a new movement in the country and get those kids moving.

And don't let them get away with saying "This job stinks!"

There is puhhhlenty of camel thorn for the bees to make honey from. It won't be a problem to hoe that darned weed between Grandpa's very long garden rows.

The saw dust has to be swept up from all of the wood projects that come out of that shop.

Ignore the drama when they claim they can't swab another wall and that they might need a popsicle.

Next time these two come and are a bit taller, no more Mrs. Nice Grandma. They are going to be listed on the job chart.

AND, no more washing dishes and taking a bath at the same time. Ewwww!

Where do I sign up?? I would be happy to enlist my child to go live with Grandma for a week... or two... And, what you do with her on your time is your own business. But I won't be complaining when she comes back knowing how to swab a toilet! She would also be happy to be out hoeing weeds and sweeping the shop, those are her specialties!

I knew it was a good idea to send them there! They've never worked so hard in their lives! Just don't get any bright ideas and start charging fees for your new racket!
