Metropolitan Glamour

We're comin' up in the world of metropolis. Our fair city powers-that-be installed a guzillion cutesy street lamps from the downtown intersection all the way up Navajo Blvd on the hill up to Denney's. It's quite the array of what would seem to be expensive fixtures, arranged more closely than would seem to be practical. They also partnered the cute lamps on the hill with park benches which are aesthetically pleasing but are along the highway where most respectable people don't walk.

It seems like a bit of extravagant overkill.
We have, however a couple of new businesses on main street which certainly dress up the place and add culture to our "culture". Yikes!
Wouldn't you like to know what those collectables are all about?
It looks like they have started an innovation - drive-thru services - 5 minutes tops or your tattoo is Free.
I wonder if they offer Roadkill. A nearly famous Rush Limbaugh promo says "Just eat around the tires tracks!" The possibilities are endless. And Taxidermy/Body Piercing are SOOOO close. We all want some.

And then right next door, the Pawn Man is open for business. If your taxidermy/inky, kinky decor gets pricey, go see the Pawn Man. It just couldn't get better than this in Happy Holbrook!

Bo actually knows the guy who opened pawn shop. And he commented that the light fixtures might be pretty but they are sucking electricity because they run them day and night so they are on all the time! What is the good in that?! And the tattoo/taxidermy/curio parlor is just hilarious!

How is that going to look if the queen of polyester and 60's hair style goes into the blood and guts emporium? How am I going to look natural? -- "just browsing... looking for my style of toxin-art for my left bun... Oh, I like your collection of fingernail clippings from the last 400 years... Is the soft drink in that classically shaped bottle a sasparilla or old-fashioned ginger ale?" Well, it's some kind of ale.

I will let you young punk rabble rousers go in and check 'er out and THEN I'll blog about it.

Amen on the street lamps and benches. I can't help but think that fewer (or none at all) would have been a better option... I'm curious about where the funds are coming from.

The tattoo parlor and pawn shop, though? We can never have too many of those :-)
