Free-Verse with Smelly Socks

When our children were in school, one of the books brought home from the book club was called I Was Walking Down the Road. The story line tells how a little girl catches a dozen animals and bugs, puts them in cages and when they look sad, lets them go. She even has to encourage the snail to crawl away faster. It was a favorite book which was read "to pieces". Three years ago, we went on the Internet and found copies that were in better shape. We also had some creative juices flow into rhymes of our own. Here are some jewels from Laura’s, Brian’s and Jenny’s families:
There were more jewels of rhyming and non-rhyming creativity but alas, they have been swallowed up in my crazy filing system, never to be found - smelly socks lost to posterity.

That was pretty cool to see again. I found that newsletter recently and enjoyed re-reading those jewels from your very clever posterity.

I guess mine wasn't clever enough to be note-worthy... I feel left out. Althought I had forgotten about this totally.
