From Toddler to Adult

The project about hands has been put on the back burner for now. But I still have a lot of interest in how hands are positioned and especially about what little children are thinking as they process through their learning and forays into what it takes to grow up.

The toddler holds on to the railings on the stairs. She doesn’t walk yet, so if she lets go she is toast, so to speak. She doesn’t understand the consequences of gravity and falling so her vice grip is instinctive. She looks at her feet and could be wondering why they look different from this angle as she holds on for dear life.

My daughter's capable hands - with her logical personality her hands reflect her attitude for getting busy and working on a situation. Her long fingers resemble those of her paternal grandmother; she probably has some of the same character traits for getting things done efficiently.
